The Galveston County Model Railroad Club November train
show was a great success. Over 1,100 people visited the Texas City
Museum to view model layout displays, shop the vendors who set up booths
at the show, talk trains and have a good time.

Of
course the show would not have been such a success without the help of
so many volunteers and local area model railroad clubs.
The Gulf Coast Chapter of TCA set up their "kids
interactive" O scale module as well as a 24' x 28' O-gauge layout.
The Northwest Model Railroad Club displayed layouts in
N-scale, HO-scale, Z-scale and a roller coaster module.
Brazos Valley Model Railroad Club set up their HO
display modules.
David L. George had his beautiful Golden Black Hawk &
Central City RR Z-scale layout on exhibit.
The members of the Galveston County Model Railroad Club
would like to thank all the clubs and individuals who helped us make the
2006 train show a great success. All of the exhibits were
beautiful and enjoyed by all who attended. We hope to see
you all back in 2007.
The GCMRRC would also like to extend a special thank you to
City of Texas City and the Texas City Museum for their promotional support and
for providing the space to host the event.

Beautiful new seashore scene on David George's "Golden

Great detailing in Z-scale was one of the highlights of
the show. |
