November 2006 Train Show

The Galveston County Model Railroad Club November train show was a great success.  Over 1,100 people visited the Texas City Museum to view model layout displays, shop the vendors who set up booths at the show, talk trains and have a good time.

Of course the show would not have been such a success without the help of so many volunteers and local area model railroad clubs.

The Gulf Coast Chapter of TCA set up their "kids interactive" O scale module as well as a 24' x 28' O-gauge layout.

The Northwest Model Railroad Club displayed layouts in N-scale, HO-scale, Z-scale and a roller coaster module.

Brazos Valley Model Railroad Club set up their HO display modules.

David L. George had his beautiful Golden Black Hawk & Central City RR  Z-scale layout on exhibit.

The members of the Galveston County Model Railroad Club would like to thank all the clubs and individuals who helped us make the 2006 train show a great success.  All of the exhibits were beautiful and enjoyed by all who attended.   We hope to see you all back in 2007.

The GCMRRC would also like to extend a special thank you to City of Texas City and the Texas City Museum for their promotional support and for providing the space to host the event.
