We are proud to be in affiliation with The City of Texas City and The Texas City Museum, our permanent home. The GCMRRC model layouts are located in the Texas City Museum at 409 6th Street, Texas City, Texas. If you are in the Houston-Galveston area, please stop by and visit. We are open to the public Saturdays from 11 AM to 4 PM. Our exhibits are free, however there is a small fee to enter the museum.
From Houston:
Take I-45 south toward Galveston. Exit I-45 at exit 16 and merge onto FM-1764 (Emmett F. Lowry Expy) driving east towards the Texas City Dike. Drive east on FM1764 which will merge onto Palmer Highway. Continue straight ahead on Palmer Hwy through Texas City to 6th Street and turn right. Travel four blocks south and the Texas City Museum will be on your right at 409 6th Street.
From Galveston:
Take I-45 North toward Houston. Exit 146 and take a right toward Texas City. Take a right at the first traffic light and head towards the refineries. Drive straight through the refinery area. The Texas City Museum will be the green building on your left at 409 6th Street.
From Houston:
